Talk: Nadine Sugianto – Badger Reproductive Biology and the UK Badger Cull

Nadine is a DPhil student with WildCRU at the University of Oxford. Her research concerns the reproductive biology of the European badger – cycles, strategies, and cub development. Her general research interests are in reproductive biology, endocrinology, and veterinary medicine. She will be speaking to us about her work, and the impact of the badger culls that have been trialed in the UK since 2013.

Talk: Dr Paul O’Donoghue, Lynx Trust UK

The Lynx UK Trust are a group of conservationists dedicated to reintroducing the lynx back into the ecosystem of the British Isles. They hope to return the lynx to the UK, which they claim will help control numbers of deer and a variety of agricultural pest species. Join us as Dr Paul O’Donoghue discusses this controversial topic, which lies at the heart of the ongoing rewilding debate, and gives us some insight into the work and vision of the Lynx UK group.
